I am trying to make changes to a particular field in Access but whenever I try to do this, I get an error messsage saying that Microsoft Jet Database Engine Stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the

Has there been an error before?

When you use an access database it creates a locking file, if you don't close it down properly the locking file doesn't get deleted. That may have something to do with it.

Or they may just capture the minds of developers and administrators with some easier, or at least less expensive, way of getting the job done.

Nginx

For the better part of the last decade, the choice for Web server software has been pretty stable. Apache has been used on the majority of Web servers while Microsoft's IIS (Internet Information Services) is used across many of the rest. Over the past few years, however, use of a third entrant, Nginx (pronounced "engine-x"), has been on the rise, thanks to the software's ability to easily handle high-volume traffic.

Many of the new types introduced in SQL Server 2005 and 2008 are not supported in any version of Access, and the new SharePoint-compatible types introduced in Access 2007 and 2010 are not supported in SQL Server. You can think of Access as two separate products rolled into one: the relational database engine, Jet, consisting of tables and queries, and Access application objects, consisting of forms, reports, macros and modules. What this means is that little work was done on Access-SQL Server integration, so much of the information available online for data type mappings between Access 2007 and SQL Server 2005 is still valid....
