Oracle releases new application server Oracle Tuxedo 11g
Dec 16, 2011 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- US hardware and software provider Oracle Corporation ORCL on Friday announced a new release of Oracle Tuxedo 11g, an application server for C/C++, COBOL, and dynamic languages.
According to the company, its Oracle Tuxedo 11g is optimised to run on Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud X2-2 and provides a dynamic, scale out solution for high volume, low latency mission critical applications. It also includes a new product, Oracle Tuxedo Application Runtime for IMS 11g, which accelerates and simplifies the migration of IBM mainframe IMS applications to open systems.
Oracle Tuxedo 11g also features enhancements to Oracle Tuxedo Application Rehosting Workbench 11g and Oracle Tuxedo Application Runtime for CICS and Batch 11g, providing integration with Oracle Berkeley DB and COBOL-IT compiler, Oracle said.
