Samsung Launches Optical SMART Hub for Wireless Media Sharing

Samsung Electronics, a pioneer in information technology and digital consumer electronics has introduced the Optical SMART Hub, the SE-208BW optical disc drive (ODD) that can be employed for accessing and supporting media files including MP3s, pictures, movies, and data files.Access to this novel Optical SMART Hub can be facilitated through smartphone, tablet, and Smart TV. This Hub functions as a personal cloud, extending the storage on devices. Writing a DVD or CD is made easier with Optical SMART Hub, eliminating the need for a notebook or desktop. Some of the benefits of new Optical SMART Hub include utilization of wireless, Ethernet, USB connectivity, development of scalable support for storage with external USB, construction of a Wi-Fi home cloud system and assists PC, mobile devices and read/write devices. An external ODD is integrated with a wireless module through the SE-208BW, augmenting the end-user benefits. The Optical SMART Hub serves as a Wireless AP router, altering broadband Internet services.
