Most of my posts here are associated with Delphi, but I am also a big fan of the Advantage Database Server, an ISAM (indexed sequential access method) remote database server marketed by Sybase, an SAP company. During this visit we implemented a number of interesting features in their database application that made extensive use of three of Advantage’s more sophisticated features – replication, triggers, and notifications. The features described have been tested, but the application is not in production, and probably will not be for another week, when the production application will be off line for maintenance....
